Adobe
Photoshop 5: Create a Brush from an Image
|
1. Click on the Rectangular
Marquee tool and select an area of a picture not more than 1,000 2
pixels
2. On the Brushes
palette choose Define Brush. The new brush will be added after the
last brush tip on the palette. |
 |
3. You can now use the Paintbrush tool to paint with your
selection. For a single copy just click once. For multiple copies, drag
your mouse. In the example the images overlap.
|
 |
| 4. On the Brush
Options palette you can also define how far apart you want to paint
the images: 100% separates them completely, as with Dennis the Menace. |
 |

5. Use
the Rectangular Selection marquee to copy and paste areas then
rotate or flip them to create patterns by selecting Transform
on the Edit menu.
