| This
is a slowly growing resource area containing ideas for art projects that
embed the use
of digital media.
While recognising that art and design teachers are meeting National Curriculum
requirements in "sometimes exciting and
innovative ways", the OfSTED subject
report for art and design in secondary schools also identified a need to broaden pupils'
experience of ICT as a creative medium at key stage 3. Rather than
having to use an inhospitable and oversubscribed ICT room if your art
department does not have a dedicated suite, most of the suggested
projects could be undertaken in the art room on a small
number of machines, or even a single computer, by rotating pairs and
small groups of pupils through the ICT activities and those in traditional
media.
Video projects and
tutorials have been moved to a separate section accessed via the tabs or
top navigation.
