Gradient Fills

There are many ready to use fill effects available on the colour menu.

1.    Open a new image 500 x 500 pixels, resolution 72 pixels per inch, background colour white, image type 16.7 million colour or open an image that you have saved if you want to add text to it .Select the gradient icon on the Styles > Background button flyout menu [a]. 

2.   Now click on the button [a] to get the gradient dialog box [b]

3.   Click on the small black arrow next to the colour window [c] to get a menu of fill options: the example is Blue Metallic

4.     Finally, choose a gradient style from the buttons on the right [d] > OK
