| Reflected Text

1. Open a new image 500 x 500 pixels, resolution 72
pixels per inch, background colour white, image type 16.7 million colour or open
an image that you have saved if you want to add text to it (e.g. for a poster or
advertisement)
2. In the Colours
palette on the right set the background colour to the one you want for your
text and the stroke style to none.

3. Select the Text
tool and click in the middle of the image to open the Text entry dialog box

4. Enter your text and choose a font and size e.g. 72
points
5.
Check
the box for Floating text and the Antialias
option (to keep edges sharper) >
OK
6. Drag the text into place when the pointer changes
to a 4 headed arrow
7.
Select the Deformation
tool and resize height and width
separately using the sizing handles

Rotate the text with the centre control handle when the pointer changes to 2
circular arrows
|

|
9.
Choose Image > Flip to turn
the text over
10.
Select the Deformation tool
again and add perspective to the text by holding Control while dragging one of the bottom handles. Double click
inside the Deformation box to apply
11.
Choose another (darker) background colour, then select the Text Tool
again and insert the same text as before.
12.
Position it above the distorted text and remove the selection.
